Perth designer ‘gobsmacked’ as Taylor Swift steps out in her dress

As the Scottish designer Jade Robertson lay asleep in Perth, she could have hardly dreamt that thousands of miles away Taylor Swift would be dining out in Brooklyn in one of her dresses. By the time she awoke, the frock had sold out.

“[I was] just completely gobsmacked at first,” said Robertson, 34, who co-founded the Glencarse-based brand Little Lies with her husband, Stuart.

“We had no idea she even had the dress. It turns out she’d actually placed the order for it herself. She’d actually ordered it and paid for it.”
