Set in the scenic outskirts of Downtown Palm Springs, California, the property is a sprawling 28-acre compound with five distinct structures totaling 7,280 square feet — and all the bells and whistles you’d expect from the desert hideaway of an iconic TV darling.

The Palm Springs compound, which became synonymous with Suzanne Somers, was her sanctuary for over forty years.

Purchased in 1977, at the height of her Three’s Company fame, Somers and her husband Alan Hamel — a prominent TV host on Canadian shows like Razzle Dazzle, a children’s program in the early 1960s, and later on The Alan Hamel Show, a talk show that aired in the 1970s — turned this estate into more than just a home; it was their personal retreat away from the public eye, and she often spoke fondly of it.

The late actress, who passed away in October, sold the compound in May 2021, after initially listing it for $8.5 million.

The sale marked the end of an era for the couple, who had spent the better part of their 46-year marriage here, and heavily expanded the property during their ownership.

“As we rode up the romantic funicular, I said to Alan, ‘Let’s buy this’ and he said to me, ‘Could you please adopt a poker face so we don’t have to pay full price?’ I was not able to contain my excitement and we paid more than full price,” she once told PEOPLE Magazine.
