Inside F1 Champion Jenson Button’s glam Palm Springs retreat
[ad_1]
On the heels of his announced return to full-time racing starting in 2024, Formula 1 champion Jenson Button is ditching some of his other lucrative gigs to refocus on the sport.
The England native, who retired from Formula 1 racing in 2017 after competing in the Monaco Grand Prix, has been keeping busy in recent years. He’s been making sporadic appearances across British GT, Goodwood Revival, Nitro Rallycross, and Extreme E cameos, as well as several NASCAR races.
And we’re going to be seeing much more of him on the racing track, as the 43-year-old British driver — who won the 2009 Formula One World Championship driving for the Brawn GP team — is excited to return to the sport full-time.
When I get to a point where I’ve lost my edge, I won’t be doing so much serious racing. But for now, wow! I feel like I’ve got a lot of years ahead. I still feel like a 20-year-old when it comes to racing.
Button told Sports Illustrated
The champion’s return to the racing track also means scaling down on his other endeavors — including renovating charming bungalows alongside his talented former model-turned-interior designer wife, Brittny Button of Button Interiors.
As such, the couple has recently listed their ultra-cozy, stylish retreat in Palm Springs, California, for $2,300,000 with Joseph Babineaux at Windermere Desert Properties.
Set at the base of the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains, in the sought-after celebrity enclave of The Mesa in South Palm Springs, the 1937-built bungalow is a treat for the eyes.
Extensively renovated by Jenson and Brittny, the Spanish-style gated estate — dubbed The Mesa Bungalows — is now being offered turnkey furnished, making it the perfect short-term vacation rental investment opportunity or private desert getaway.

The hillside two-story stucco villa retains its original architectural details, enhanced by the couple’s flawless renovation work, which draped it in a unique style of vibrant pinks reminiscent of Barbie’s Malibu DreamHouse and palm leaf green decor that adds an extra note of charm.
It’s also worth noting that the property’s celebrity appeal predates the Buttons; the home was previously owned by filmmaker/screenwriter Josh Evans, actress Ali MacGraw’s son and Steve McQueen’s stepson.
So let’s take a quick tour of this downright enchanting celebrity abode before it finds its next…
