Celebrity radio host Jackie “O” Henderson – who in 2023 inked a record $200 million deal with her co-host Kyle Sandilands – splashed a wee portion of it on a three-storey oceanfront home overlooking Clovelly Beach.
In front of a crowd of 80 on a Saturday afternoon, and joined three registered bidders to score the keys to the renovator’s project. She prevailed for $13.25 million.

Selling agent Alexander Phillips of PPD Real Estate is accustomed to dealing with high-profile buyers but told The Sydney Morning Herald’s Carmen Forward that she was noticeably down-to-earth and happy to be in attendance.
“Most of these people don’t appear at the auction. She didn’t seem to worry about it,” he said.
Guy Pearce, Melbourne

Hollywood star Guy Pearce sold the circa-$9 million Melbourne house he owned for almost 29 years.
The TV and movie star took an offer on the the handsomely-renovated Edwardian at 341-343 Richardson Street in Middle Park, which was listed in August with a price guide of $8.5 million to $9.35 million. The sale price is undisclosed.

With its classical style, the property also topped the list for the most-viewed homes in Australia on Domain at the time of its campaign.
Jesinta and Buddy Franklin, Gold Coast
A Hollywood Hills-style trophy home on the Gold Coast hinterland that sold after just six days for $9 million was bought by retired AFL great Lance “Buddy” Franklin and his wife, beauty queen-turned-businesswoman and model Jesinta Franklin.
The couple were pinned by The Sydney Morning Herald’s Title Deeds columnist Lucy Macken as the mystery buyers of the luxury property on the Gold Coast, just days after they listed their Rose Bay home with a $5 million to $5.5 million guide.
The couple’s new residence was created by Reece Keil Design and won the Gold Coast Master Builders Award for House of the Year. It is easily considered one of the city’s best homes.
Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc, northern Sydney
Cricketers Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc pulled off the high-end deal of the year, according to The Sydney Morning Herald’s Lucy Macken, paying almost $25 million for a Terrey Hills estate.
The sale price for Charlotte Park shattered the district record.
