Khloe Kardashian’s bathroom taps into two 2024 design trends |

Khloe Kardashian may be used to influencing fashion and beauty trends, but a look inside her California bathroom suggests she’s also ahead of the curve in the world of interiors. The media personality’s bathroom, created by London-born designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard, taps into two trends that are set to change how we decorate in 2024 – despite being designed years before.
‘I love this bathroom I did for Khloe Kardashian,’ Martyn says. ‘Turkish marble wraps the floor and bathtub, whilst Irish linen diffuses the light at the windows. Wired rock crystal sconces provide the light source, and an eclectic array of corals and sponges I collected for her add interest and an inviting vibe on the deep shelf around the bath.’
All of these elements could hold a rightful place at the top of tile trends, but it is the large Turkish marble specifically that will influence how we design in the seasons ahead.
Martyn is a world-class talent and the largest award-winning designer and author based in Los Angeles. He is known for his trademark glamour and flair for the exotic as he curates sophisticated and inviting interiors for Hollywood A-listers and global glitterati, including Kendall Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Tommy Hilfiger, Cher, Ellen Pompeo, and Eva Mendes, to name a few.
According to Ca’ Pietra’s 2024 design trend report, large ‘maximarble-effect’ tiles, and interiors inspired by faraway shores are expected to influence bathroom design in the near future – and Khloe’s Turkish marble taps into both. But what does each trend involve?
The experts at Ca’ Pietra explain that maximarble pieces are essentially large format marble-style flagstones that are designed to make a statement. Khloe has opted for a timeless black and white colorway, but to bring this look firmly into the new year, we should also look for a vibrant twist on the classic.
‘These tiles are all about the effect of marble and its majestic coloring,’ the team says. Classic Carrara marble tiles are a timeless place to start, but for something more on-trend for 2024, it’s all about those more unusual marbles from deep green Guatemalan-style marble.’
As mentioned, however, Khloe’s maximarble tiles pay homage to yet another future design quirk: bathrooms inspired by faraway shores.
‘Interiors inspired by faraway shores are a constant feature on ‘the gram,’ but 2024’s traveling trend isn’t specific to a country, which makes it feel much more free-spirited,’ the Ca’ Pietra team explains.
‘Bathroom walls can absolutely be in on this one, but the focus is bathroom floors, grounding your space in a sense of elsewhere so you can literally step foot into Andalusia, Cuba, Morocco, or wherever your imagination feels at its happiest.’
